Terms & Conditions
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before placing an order. By using our website or placing an order you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About Us
3D Origins is an Australian business that designs and manufactures custom 3D-printed products, including hex coasters and made-to-order items. Our ABN is available on request.
2. Orders and Custom Products
2.1 Many of our products are made to order. Once production has commenced on a custom item the order cannot be cancelled or changed without our written agreement.
2.2 A binding contract is formed when we send an order confirmation email, not at the time of payment.
2.3 We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion — for example if we are unable to source materials or if an order contains designs that infringe third-party intellectual property.
2.4 Colours, textures, and dimensions shown on our website are indicative. Minor variations between a preview or photograph and the finished product are inherent to the 3D printing process and do not constitute a defect.
3. Pricing and Payment
3.1 All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless stated otherwise.
3.2 Prices may change without notice. The price charged is the price displayed when your order is confirmed.
3.3 Payment is required in full at checkout. Accepted methods are listed at the time of purchase.
3.4 If a pricing error occurs we will notify you and offer the choice of proceeding at the correct price or receiving a full refund.
4. Production and Dispatch
4.1 Estimated production times are shown on each product page and are estimates only.
4.2 We will email you tracking information when your order is dispatched.
4.3 We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control including courier delays, supply disruptions, or extreme weather.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 All designs, photographs, and content on 3dorigins.com.au are our intellectual property or used with permission. You may not reproduce them without our written consent.
5.2 When you submit a custom design or logo you confirm you own or have the right to use it and that printing it does not infringe any third-party rights. You indemnify us against any claims arising from designs you provide.
6. Australian Consumer Law
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure is not a major failure.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to your ACL rights, our liability for any claim is limited to the price paid for the relevant product. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special loss.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Queensland courts.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always on our website. Placing a new order after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Returns & Refunds
We stand behind the quality of everything we make. If something isn’t right, we’ll make it right.
1. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
Contact us within 14 days of delivery if your item arrives damaged, has a manufacturing defect, or is not what you ordered. We will offer a repair, replacement, or full refund once the fault is confirmed.
Please include in your email:
- Your order number
- A clear description of the issue
- Photos showing the fault or damage
2. Custom & Made-to-Order Items
Because our products are printed specifically for you, we cannot accept change-of-mind returns on custom items once production has begun. This does not affect your rights if the item is faulty or not as described.
3. Minor Variations
Slight differences in colour, texture, layer lines, or dimensions compared to product photos or renders are inherent to the 3D printing process and are not considered defects. We always aim to match your expectations but cannot guarantee results identical to digital previews.
4. Change of Mind — Standard Items
For standard (non-custom) stocked items, contact us within 7 days of delivery. We may, at our discretion, accept a return provided the item is unused and in its original condition. Return postage is the customer’s responsibility for change-of-mind returns.
5. How Refunds Work
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days of the return being approved. Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a confirmed product fault.
